On the job training with no classrooms or block training.

Theory content is provided online in a student portal or in a folder as a hard copy if required. Practical components are completed during on-site sessions at an agreed venue.

My Industry Training provides training and assessment for this course. My Industry Training is a business branch of Adapt Education (RTO 32452). Students are enrolling with Adapt Education Pty Ltd trading as My Industry Training.

In order to sign up for this course outside of a school you must be signed up as an apprentice with an employer.

It is essential that you choose Adapt Education (RTO 32452) as your provider when signing up for your apprenticeship.

Costs

The Queensland government provides a contribution towards the cost of training and assessment for eligible Queensland apprentices and trainees.

Through the User Choice program, which is administered by the Queensland Government you might be eligible for a contribution. Apprentices and trainees are usually required to pay a co-contribution fee for the cost of their training and assessment. In some cases, partial or full fee exemptions might apply.

User choice
program

To be eligible for the User Choice program subsidy/government contribution you must:

  • Permanently reside in Queensland.
  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen.
  • Not have already utilised your entitlement under the User Choice program, that is apprentices and trainees, including school-based apprentices and trainees (SATs) can only receive a maximum of two Government funding contributions under the User Choice program.
  • Have entered into a Training Contract for a qualification that is funded by the Queensland Government.

Free apprenticeships
for under 25's initiative

To be eligible for the Free Apprenticeships for Under 25's program you must:

  • Be under the age of 25 when commencing the Certificate III in Carpentry.
  • Permanently reside in Queensland.
  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency or a New Zealand citizen.
  • Not hold, or be enrolled in a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification, not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training.
