We send a trainer to you!

Unlike other RTO delivery models, you will have a staff member that is a TAE Qualified Registered Teacher or Qualified Trainer that is committed to the school and the students on a weekly basis.

This course is perfect for those:

  • Seeking a pathway to a primary trade apprenticeship.
  • Wanting a qualification designed to introduce learners to the recognised trade callings in the construction industry
  • Wanting to start a Home Maintenance business.

This is a Nationally Recognised qualification. Enrolments can only be accepted from SE QLD due to the on-site practical components required in this course.

My Industry Training provides training and assessment for this course. My Industry Training is a business branch of Adapt Education (RTO 32452). Students are enrolling with Adapt Education Pty Ltd trading as My Industry Training.

Option 1 - MIT Trainer

Full Time Trainer

We come to you with a ute full of all the tools and equipment used on site by tradespeople.  The course is trained on school grounds on a designated day or half day independent from timetabled classes. The duration of the course:

  • One (1) full day per week delivered over two terms or
  • One (1) half day for the entire year.

We can also include block training to reduce the impact on student timetables. We will provide everything which includes resources, tools, equipment and materials.

⇒ No power required – all 18V power tools.

⇒ We can work anywhere on school grounds.

⇒ We bring tablets (ICT) and internet for all students that don’t have a device or has forgotten to bring their own on the day of training.

⇒ All our trainers are registered teachers that can engage and deal with students in a learning environment that is constantly changing.

⇒ We have direct links with all trades and will assist with work experience and apprenticeship opportunities.

⇒ Any student that completes our course that wants to be Carpenter, can transition into their four (4) year apprenticeship with My Industry Training as an approved provider.

Option 2 - MIT Trainer

Weekly Trainer

The program is implemented into the timetable as part of the curriculum and the course is chosen as an elective by the student in subject selections. My Industry Training provides a trainer/registered teacher for the required lesson and therefore creates available time for the school where teachers can be used elsewhere on the timetable.

⇒ No power required – all 18V power tools.

⇒ We can work anywhere on school grounds.

⇒ We bring tablets (ICT) and internet for all students that don’t have a device or has forgotten to bring their own on the day of training.

⇒ All our trainers are registered teachers that can engage and deal with students in a learning environment that is constantly changing.

⇒ We have direct links with all trades and will assist with work experience and apprenticeship opportunities.

⇒ Any student that completes our course that wants to be Carpenter, can transition into their four (4) year apprenticeship with My Industry Training as an approved provider.

Option 3 - MIT Program

Structured Trainer

A My Industry Training trainer/registered teacher will attend your school on a structured basis throughout the school year. The school is resourced and supported with a program designed specifically for trainer/teacher delivery in the workshop, classroom or in school grounds.  If required, we will provide training and development for teaching staff involved to ensure industry currency and standards are met.

⇒ We will contribute funds to the program for resourcing, tools and equipment to ensure the success of the course and student outcomes.

⇒ Your designated trainer will send weekly progress reports for student tracking.

⇒ All our trainers are registered teachers that can engage and deal with students in a learning environment that is constantly changing.

⇒ We have direct links with all trades and will assist with work experience and apprenticeship opportunities.

⇒ Any student that completes our course that wants to be Carpenter, can transition into their four (4) year apprenticeship with My Industry Training as an approved provider.

Option 4 - MIT Program

Third Party Trainer 

A teacher is nominated with the necessary qualifications to train the students.  The school is resourced and supported with a program designed specifically for teacher delivery in the workshop, classroom or in school grounds.  We provide training and development for teaching staff to ensure industry currency and standards are met.  Depending on school requirements, our course can be delivered both online or provided in hard copy format.

⇒ We will contribute funds to the program for resourcing, tools and equipment to ensure the success of the course and student outcomes.

⇒ Your designated trainer will send weekly progress reports for student tracking.

⇒ All our trainers are registered teachers that can engage and deal with students in a learning environment that is constantly changing.

Option 5 - MIT Trainer

Applied Subject and Qualifiaction Map

In the case where students are completing an Applied Subject, the qualification is mapped to the applied subject program. Our trainers use selected curriculum time and/or block exam time to assess the gaps. This option does not require the school to train and assess the qualification.

Option 6 - MIT Trainer

MIT Training Facility

The course is trained at our own facility equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment to the run the program.  Course runs one (1) full day per week delivered over two terms.  Enquire with our team to check course availability.

General public

Blended Learning

The program provides the combination of distance learning and on-site practical training and assessment. Course theory content is provided in both hard copy format or online virtual learning, where students login to access their resources and assessment. Practical components are completed during on-site sessions at an agreed venue.

Classroom Based Learning

Two (2) days classroom contact per week for 10 weeks. Some self-paced learning and assessment is required in between sessions to ensure progress remains on track.

$0 for school-based students who qualify for VETiS funding.

A ‘fee for service’ is negotiated with each individual school. Price is subjective to the number of students enrolled.

General public

The standard course fee for students on Centrelink payments or the general public is $2500. Payment Plans are available. Contact us for more information on course costs and VETiS funding.
